Message from the CEO
At VLST, we are very proud of what we do and what we have accomplished. Our programs have been built on a foundation of scientific excellence and our staff has been recruited based on our Corporate Values.
Since our founding in 2004, we have delivered on the original concept of discovering and developing novel biologic therapeutics for unmet needs in the fields of autoimmunity and inflammation and are now expanding this concept to include anti-viral and small molecule therapies. We are focused on our overall mission of developing therapies for patients and physicians, delivering a return to our shareholders and providing a corporate culture by which all employees can thrive and grow.
We have made significant progress in the last year. We have doubled the output from our genomics scale bioinformatics and proteomics platform, moved two lead programs into therapeutic design, developed a third program to the GLP toxicology stage for out-licensing and successfully initiated our first corporate partnership with Novo Nordisk. We continue to seek additional corporate relationships that will further realize the value we are creating from our innovative approach.
Our staff is tireless in their efforts. I am very proud of the many significant accomplishments both in the field of science and in their outside activities. I encourage you to view the profiles of some of our staff in the Meet Our Staff section.You will see that our staff is working hard to improve people’s lives, both through their efforts at VLST as well as in their personal lives. It is this level of dedication that makes VLST one of the most exciting places to work. They are the reason we have made the progress we have made to date and they are the basis for our success in the future.
